“You’re bleeding out!” was her astute assessment, Jax’s ears starting to ring,“I’m pretty sure you lost half your blood between here and the door we crashed through and I don’t know where the others are, I don’t know where Caine is and I don’t know what to do!”
She accentuated her point with a censored curse at the new wave of liquid bubbling through his abdomen.
“And you say it’s ‘Not that bad’???”
“I’m just dying, it’s fine.”
An adventure goes a bit wrong and Pomni forgets for a small second that death is not a thing in the Digital Circus.

"H-how's she doing?" Jax ignored the question, instead focusing on the bookshelf Infront of him as he pulled a few of his favorites down.
"Jax?"
Turning to look at the small crowd that had gathered behind him Jax rolled his eyes. "Who Pomni? She's fine, Never been better."
His sarcastic and cutting tone made Zooble roll her eyes while Gangle flinched slightly but it was Ragatha who spoke up first. "You don't need-"
He cut her off, not really in the mood to be chastised by her or any of them at the moment. "Seriously though guys, what; this isnt like the birds and bees talk. You can't just avoid talking about it for 20 years and then throw your hands up and go 'Oopse, I guess we missed our chance, sorry' when she finally does start asking questions."
A small smirk of satisfaction spread across his face as everyone shifted uncomfortably, looking slightly ashamed. Again it was Ragatha who spoke for the group. "We... we didn't know... how to... tell her."
That made the smirk fall from his face. "You tell her the truth, that her physical body in the real world is dying and that soon she'll be stuck here forever as a digital copy of her former self."

An exceedingly normal house in an exceedingly normal town with the exceedingly normal understanding that she and Jax are now the neighbourhood’s blushing newlyweds.
Neither of which knows exactly what to do with that, especially after the fight that revealed parts of themselves they’d both rather keep out of sight. It’s awkward at best, and it only spirals from there.

Jax is fine.
Completely and totally fine.
He's fine when his best friend suddenly becomes aggressive and turns on him. He's fine when he starts pushing everyone else away. He's fine after fighting with Pomni when she claims they're friends. And he's sure as hell fine when he locks himself and his room, slowly beginning to abstract.
Jax's world is coming down around him and he struggles to admit that he's lost control, that maybe he's never been in control.
When he started to abstract he didn't expect to wake up. He didn't expect the rest of the circus to suddenly be rallying with him after everything he said and did.
And he definitely didn't expect that he might finally have to admit, to himself and everyone else, that he's not okay.
(OR: After episode 6 Jax starts to abstract. The gang finds a way to stop it but there are… consequences. Jax is forced to think about his past and becomes angry at the idea that he once again could be hopeless. But is he really?)
