Porco watches with a small smile as Pieck waltzes across the room, a bottle the size of her head clenched tightly in a fist. She empties the remainder of the honey-coloured liquid into Reiner and Annie’s glasses and flings herself onto the couch beside them.
“Cheers!” She takes a deep swig from her own tumbler, body swaying in time with the music floating from the record player. A real one, this time. “God I haven’t drunk like this in years. Not since… Well, not since before.”
Reiner hums, whiskey and nostalgia rolling together. “Remember that bar in the Mid-East?”
