Summary
To be truthful, Mikey was starting to have doubts. Anxiety started to fill his veins as he shifted on the balls of his feet as he stared at the Earth — at Leo. He hadn’t felt this nervous about presenting a piece of art in… well, he couldn’t remember how long. Sure, he’s done some abstract and metaphorical pieces before… but that was before this. Before The Invasion. Before he nearly lost his brothers. Before he nearly lost himself. Before Leo had ever given a hint that he wasn’t okay.
But was that true though? Maybe Leo had always given him hints that maybe, just maybe he wasn’t all jokes and smiles like he led the turtle teens to believe. Small, subtle hints that… Neon Leon isn’t as neon as he wanted everyone to think he was. And the more he thought about it, the more it started to make sense.
A metaphoric character study of mainly Leo, but with a side of brothers.
A direct sequel to "Amongst the Sun, Moon and Stars". Read that one first for further context.

Summary
Tommy Danger Kraken Innit, his full legal name by the way, was set to die on September 8th when he was 16. It was a simple fact, normal as everything else in Tommy’s life. The sky was blue, the ocean was fucking weird and he was going to die before he ever saw 18. He wasn’t going to go to college, he wasn’t going to get a job and he wasn’t going to live a long and happy life like most people got to.
Why bother with life when you were going to die before you could live it?

“Don’t you care about your future?”
Tommy tore his gaze away from the clock, gaze falling on the dean. He half expected to see him with that perpetual frown of exasperation that he always seemed to wear when he was around Tommy. Though Tommy hesitated when he was met with an entirely different expression.
The dean looked…disappointed?
But why?
His heart sank as the truth hit him. He…he actually thinks I don’t care.
Suddenly the clock wasn’t so important anymore.
Tommy had never been very good at magic.
And in a world where dragons nested in skyscrapers, ancient remnants of gods walking among mortals littered the earth, and each and every person had the blood of ancient mythical creatures thrumming through their veins, that proved to be a bit of a problem.
Or, at least it hadn't—not until the stars started disappearing.
Then it became a problem.

Summary
Will ignores a timid reply from his classmate, his focus fully on this strange interloper that could be his best friend’s twin.
Evil twin, as Dustin would say, his voice low and incriminating. Ultraman type shit. Will considers relaying the situation on their upcoming weekly call to make the current situation less unsettling.
The guy is cautiously smiling back now – a reflection of Will’s unconscious expression at the thought of Dustin’s clarification – and it doesn’t falter, even once Will loses his amusement. Instead, the grin widens, almost too big for his face and definitely too big for Mike’s usual range of expression. His eyebrows rise above the rim of his lenses.
