So very few knew what it meant when the shadowhunter came stumbling from their chambers, eyes aglow with their mark and a growl rumbling their chest, save for a small handful. It was their presence that helped to save lives that night as they drew others back and made a path – because nothing and no one can get between a dragon and their warlock.

He was just looking back towards the bar when a flash of gold caught his attention, his blue eyes flitted back towards the VIP area in interest.
His breath caught. Two vibrant and beautiful golden eyes stared back at him intently. The man was beautiful. He seemed to shimmer under the club’s lights, he leaned confidently against the railing, ringed hands clasping the metal. He reminded Alec of a King surveying his court. Even from this distance, the man radiated confidence and self-assurance but without the usual arrogance that seemed to accompany these traits.
Then the man winked.
And Alec stumbled. Alexander Lightwood, resident hardass of the New York Institute, honest to god stumbled because a pretty guy had winked at him.

Contrary to what anyone would think from seeing Isabelle, Alexander could cook. He was even rather good at it, but he did it little because he simply never took the time to do it. It was his mother who taught him, probably one of the few happy memories of his childhood when he thought of his parents. Besides, after a long day's work, he didn't have the patience to cook for all the people at the Institute. Ordering was much easier. Still, now that he thought about it, Alexander had never cooked for Magnus before, never had the chance, Magnus had the unfortunate tendency to steal a restaurant every day for God's sake.

There is a small problem seeing as the only person he wants to bond with won't admit he can talk to ghosts, but Magnus is more than willing to wait.
