Zuko tucked his face into the crook of her neck. She smelled like sea salt, and shower oil and likely his smoky cologne. "Wake up," he pleaded, pouting against her skin.
There was a soft interruption. The sound of feet padding on the floorboards as they got closer in the rhythm of the restrictive gait of someone who'd been told not to run in the hallway.
"Daddy?"
Zuko shot up in a jiffy, propped on one elbow, craning to see past Mai to the doorway. "Izumi, my little turtleduck!" he beamed, throwing his arms out.

Jay felt at ease for the first time in weeks as Nya pressed her soft, gentle hand against his cheek.
The two came down from the sky after they shared a kiss, a little dramatic for them seeing as it came from no where. They seemed so desperate, to which the others wouldn't understand, because they don't remember.
When the two pulled apart from the kiss, the horrors of the last month of his life flashed before his eyes. It was like a bull had slammed its head into his brain, and suddenly every vivid detail was tormenting him.
