Summary
Kiyoomi isn’t sure what to think as he stands in Miya Atsumu’s living room, staring at the small potted cactus on a shelf near the window, brows drawn together in confusion. The thing that he finds confusing isn’t so much the cactus itself as much as the pot it’s planted in. It’s painted a lovely highlighter yellow that Kiyoomi is quite fond of, actually it matches his jacket rather well, but drawn over it in black detail is a crude, grumpy looking face with two dots above one of the eyebrows. If Kiyoomi’s not mistaken, he’d guess that was meant to look like him.

Atsumu becomes a single father to a cactus and through discussions with twin and his new child he realizes he needs to tell his FWB/teammate that he's in love with him.

Osamu strode to his desk, rifling through the drawer until he found what he needed. At the sight of his spellbook, Atsumu clambered down and peered over his shoulder as Osamu began to write on a fresh sheet.
“What’re you doin’?” he asked way too loudly into Osamu’s ear.
“I need a spell,” he said, his pen dancing across the page.
He will wear mismatched socks
He will remember to water my plants“‘He’? Who’s ‘he’?” Atsumu asked, confusion evident in his voice.
He can cut onions without crying
He can befriend any street cat“The only boy I’ll be able to fall in love with.”
He’ll be marvelously kind
His favorite song will constantly change
And he’ll have bright green eyes.“Wha- but- ‘Samu, this boy-” he jabbed at the page with his finger, “how will you find him? How do you know he exists?”
“I know he doesn’t. I’m not falling in love, ‘Tsumu. I don’t ever want to be heartbroken like mom was.”

Summary
Except there are certain moments when Rintarou wants to melt into the ground. It's stupid. A flash of grey eyes in his direction and suddenly, he loses all sense of himself. For some reason, he can't figure out how to talk normally to Osamu when there isn't a volleyball to distract him from the way the corners of Osamu’s mouth crinkle when he laughs. No one warned him that the “quieter” twin could make him speechless.
So like any good coping mechanism, Rintarou leans heavily into the familiarity of teasing. His words still come out choppy, grasping onto whatever will hide his stutter best, but at least he's not just staring at the guy like an idiot. No, instead, he's making fun of how many different shapes his carrots are cut into.

“Sure, Kita-san, what is it?” Osamu switches the phone to his other shoulder, trying to keep the phone from getting dirty during food prep.
“Yer next fish shipment will be delivered by someone else.”
“Not Nishimiya-san?” Osamu is surprised at the casual manner Kita brought this up, “You’ve switched suppliers?”
“No, not at all,” Kita says with the same even tone, “it’s the same supplier, just his grandson is dropping it off. He’s been helping out Nishimiya-san for a few months now.”
Osamu is a little surprised, not sure how to feel about a change in routine, even if it’s just a different face. “Oh, okay, as long as ya trust it, I trust you.”
“Good, Osamu, please treat his grandson as if it were Nishimiya-san standing in front of you.”
