“Lex, it’s a cold, not some terminal fuckin’ illness.” Fez sniffled as Lexi fretted about his living room setting up various devices that she had insisted were necessary for his survival. “Will you just sit down with me? You be doin’ too much.”
She pushed a button on one of said devices, a humidifier, if he remembered correctly, and it began to emit a white stream of mist into the air. She stepped back, rubbing her hands together in front of herself, satisfied with her work.
“It’s not too much. Not if it will help you get better sooner.”

Fez swipes a nearby bottle of vodka from a low table and walks up to Nate. Lexi’s heart is in her throat. No, no, no, no, no, no. She only just found him, he can’t possibly know how dangerous Nate is. She wants to jump to her feet, scream for Cassie, protect him somehow. She mentally speeds through the list of spells she knows, almost panicking at how useless they would all be in this situation.
Fez breaks a bottle over Nate’s head, and it sizzles against Nate’s skin. Not vodka but holy water. Nate screams.

Then he meets and promptly falls for Bucky Barnes, new resident in his apartment building. The one who makes him feel like he only wants to be with one person, forever.
He just doesn’t know how to make that happen.
Lucky for him, he has friends who… tease him mercilessly. And then help. A lot. Steve gets a lot of opportunities to get to know his new neighbor and thinks everything is going great, until Bucky reveals to him his own long-term relationship ended badly, and he doesn’t want another…but he might be up for a friends-with-benefits deal. Even though it’s not exactly what he envisioned, Steve’s not about to say no to sex with Bucky, and he finds himself having fantastic sex, in a no-commitment relationship. Just like he always wanted. Until now.

Bucky reaches out to Steve’s shoulder but instead of clapping it hard like his husband did, he rests his hand on it gently and caresses it a little with his thumb. Steve can feel the heat of Bucky’s hand through his shirt.
“I can’t wait,” says Bucky softly. “See you soon, Steve.”
Steve smiles and pulls away before he can spontaneously combust. He manages a weak “Bye” as he heads out the restroom door and then hurries to his car.
On the 30-minute drive home to his apartment in Smithtown, Steve’s head is in a whirl. He wasn’t lying about meeting Sharon tonight - they’re getting together for pizza and a Netflix movie after her study group - but his thoughts are not with his girlfriend.
Instead, they’re focused on a dark brown curl falling over Bucky’s forehead, the dimple in his chin, the way his mouth goes crooked when he smiles. As he pulls into the parking lot of his building, Steve can still feel Bucky’s hand on his shoulder.
Bucky.
Oh fuck, is he in trouble.
