At some point, they both reach for their face coverings at the same time. Ghoul tugs the pantyhose over his head and turns, fully prepared to inform this idiot that driving like a maniac tends to attract more attention.
Then he gets a look at his face.
Everything in Ghoul's brain slams on the brakes, and for a long second he just stares.
No way.
No fucking way.

Frank thinks the strangest thing about his new friends is that they're four eccentric music students with bizarre schedules, terrible social boundaries, and an almost pathological hatred of sunny outdoor lunches.
Then he catches Mikey drinking from someone's throat.
Finding out vampires exist should probably be the point where Frank runs. Instead, after the screaming, accusations, explanations, and a truly incredible amount of swearing, his reaction eventually becomes:
"So... you guys have been drinking shitty bagged blood this entire time?"And from there, Frank makes what will eventually prove to be the most consequential offer of his life.
They can drink from him.
Occasionally.
Occasionally turns out to be an extremely flexible word.

Gerard was late, and it was fucking raining. He'd missed the bus and it was fucking raining, and he was totally going to get dropped from the play if he was late again and he was so fucking screwed, but honestly Gerard wasn't all that keen on it when he'd heard the only main part he'd managed to get in this damn theatre group was of a fucking crossdresser.
For someone who was supposed to be in the closet, he was doing an awfully bad job of it.
Frank lero was Gerard's favourite punk ass skater dickhead, that he was currently working on eternally denying to himself the crush he had on Frank, which totally didn't exist of course, but Frank was really cute, and Gerard was really stupid; stupid enough to think that he could totally pull off pretending to be a girl in order for heterosexual Frank lero to fall for him.
Surely, this was truly the worst idea Gerard Way has ever had.

Summary
Frank isn’t old enough to remember when the vampires arrived. He was a toddler at the time, and though he has some fuzzy memories about the grown-ups in his life being worried about something and his dad putting new locks on all the doors and windows, he doesn’t remember being shocked. He remembers his dad dying though, how could he not? One day his dad was there, and the next he wasn’t.
His mom said that he was killed by a bad man. By a monster. By a vampire.
Now Ray is bitten and Frank is thrown into one of the vampire quarantines with him and he needs to figure out how to wait out the infection and keep his best friend from being turned into a vampire while also trying to figure out a way for the two of them to get home. He meets Mikey and Mikey's vampire-turned brother, Gerard. Despite Frank's mistrust of vampires, he can't keep Ray safe without the brothers help.

“Cold outside, huh?” He asks. Frank wants to kick him out so he can try what it really means. He probably has a house, heating, food, a shower and clothes. Always trying to pretend they know shit, fucking volunteers. Asking fucking questions, wanting answers, wanting homeless people to socialise, because of course, they'd do it. Unlike other volunteers Frank has met, however, this one does not seem to expect a reply at all. He doesn’t press. He just pours the soup in the cup, filling it to the brim – another thing Frank rarely sees volunteers doing. Maybe they have extra food today, or not many people came here. Lucky day, after all.

Frank knew there was something up with the Way’s since he met them, at least on a subconscious level. But like with most things you found out about them, you could probably just prescribe it to the Way Funk. He definitely could’ve been more observant, but he also liked to think of himself of a somewhat well adjusted semi-adult. And somewhat well adjusted semi-adults usually did not jump to conclusions of the supernatural when their friends had slightly more vibrant eyes than your average Joe, or a talent for eating stake like it was oxygen and they were drowning.
Or:
Frank gets bitten by a werewolf, has a minor crisis, and becomes much closer with Gerard than he thought was ever possible.
