Summary
What if the Underground started glitching? What if whenever two parallel Timelines, one Undertale, another an Alternate Timeline, Reset at the same time, a bit of the Alternate Timeline leaked into Undertale? What if there were side effects of this happening, like nightmares each time a synchronized Reset occurred? And what if Sans was effected worse than the others with the effects much more severe and some other effects others don't have? What if there were three Alternate Timelines parallel to Undertale, and what if those Alternate Timelines just so happened to be Dusttale, Horrortale, and Something New (AKA Killertale)?

A sound that suffocates the sparks from the sky, that overrides the heat of the flames licking the broken windshield, licking blood-matted hair and cotton bandages too infatuated with the flame.

Not so that whoever has the misfortune of needing to scatter your dust has something you love on hand, but so that you have something close-by to stave off the inevitable while you get your affairs in order.
Sans doesn't really have anything he loves that's small enough to just carry around. He doesn't love things.

"So, he really was back in the L'manberg era, then? L'manberg had been blown up by Dream, Techno, and Phil a long time ago. Walking though it now, pretty much confirmed the fact that something was terribly wrong.
Ranboo was unsure if time traveling was a normal side effect to losing a life, but he had no choice but to go with it. If he continued acting as though he were in current time, the time in which he was dead and Micheal was missing, then he'd surely alert everyone else to this catastrophe."
Or, basically, Ranboo time travels back to L'manberg and realizes he has the chance to prevent all future misshapenings of the server.
