Tugarin watched him, eyes following Alyosha across the kitchen as he stumbled to pour himself a glass of water. Alyosha narrowed his teary eyes at him and pouted, wiping his lips with his forearm.
“You’re judging me, aren’t you?” his voice was uncomfortably hoarse.
His friend barked, as if agreeing. Alyosha groaned and poured himself another shot, taking a deep breath before downing it. Just three wouldn’t hurt, right?

Kim Dokja flaunts his slippery skills like the koi spirit he is, while Yoo Joonghyuk frequently grooms his ruffled black phoenix feathers from Kim Dokja's disruptive antics. Neither are willing to concede to the annoying chemistry from their escalating interactions. Birds and fish should be natural enemies of each other.
Lee Jihye points out it's spawning season for koi fish. Perhaps Kim Dokja is expressing his interest in Yoo Joonghyuk by irritating him to death?
Yoo Joonghyuk receives an epiphany. Kim Dokja wants to be his Dao companion! But why was he the female koi fish in this equation?
Thus, the black phoenix resolves to seduce Kim Dokja as a vermilion bird would appeal to a mate.
