Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”

Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.

Summary
After the fall of her pack when Vi's entire family was killed, and she is cursed forcing her to shift remaining in her wolf form permanently. Vi's then sold into an underground dog fighting ring. For 5 years Vi is forced to fight and win matches to survive. The longer she remains in wolf form the more her humanity slips allowing her primal side to take over. At least until the day the fighting ring was busted.
Caitlyn is a slayer working for the wardens a branch of the enforcers headed by Greyson dealing with supernatural crimes. Her current assignment: tracking down an illegal dog fighting ring run by a coven of mages. When Caitlyn first sees wolf 516 she sees a terrified animal in survival mode. When the mages are cut off from their magic and the other wolves are able to shift back 516 does not. It intrigues Caitlyn, something about the eyes of the red dog in front of her causes Caitlyn to question things and decides to adopt the dog. Once in Caitlyn's care, Vi slowly learns to trust. Caitlyn can tell there is a greater mystery afoot surrounding her four-legged companion and she has to work quickly to figure it out before the shadows of Vis past catches up to them both.

Summary
Vi looks at the big clock on the far wall. 7:46AM. She’s one minute late today. Every morning for the past six months - well, every morning Vi’s been on shift, so she’s just assuming about the other days - she’s passed by at exactly 7:45AM, always at a brisk walk, always in a perfectly-tailored suit, not a single long, silky-looking hair out of place.
7:47AM. The crisp clack of heeled boots on concrete pulls Vi out of her musings. There must have been some sort of emergency, because the subject of Vi’s (minor) obsession walks past the fire station at a faster clip than normal. Which is sort of saying something, because Mystery Woman’s got legs for days, long and slender, visibly toned with long, lean muscle through her suit pants. At the faster clip, Vi has less time to admire her ass and tiny, tiny waist as she walks by, but that’s fine, because the view as she leaves is fantastic.
