Todd goes with him usually, for his own reassurance more than Dirk’s, not that Dirk minds the company. Not when it’s Todd."
Just a short little fluff piece. Dirk likes to sit in the sun and Todd likes to watch him. Somewhat inspired by Hozier's song Sunlight.

“Todd,” better late than never he supposes, closing the space between them and reaching out to cup his jaw, “darling.” Todd’s eyes flutter shut and Dirk can feel where his breath shudders out of him, a little of the tension in his shoulders dissipating with the contact. They stay there for a while, Dirk brushing his thumb over Todd's cheek, skin rasping against stubble until he leans into the gesture willingly.
It's just some very emotional non-boring sex porn. With feelings.

The faint twinge in the back of Todd’s head thrums stronger. The dregs of a headache surging forward, buzzing and painful. He hisses and lowers his bow and arrow, one hand reaching for his head. What was Todd saying?
Without an arrow pointed at him, the man shuffles closer, eyeing Todd worriedly. His hands move, as if to touch him, “Todd?”
Todd steps back. His hand goes back to hold the arrow, and the man puts his hands up and away from Todd. “How do you know my name?”
The man is silent for a moment, staring at Todd with a look Todd can’t decipher. His bright eyes dim for a second, now soft and sad. His expression stirs something in Todd’s mind, something too far away, too muddled for Todd to understand.

Todd is the knight shining armor, the big bad wolf, the white rabbit, and each and every time, the same oddly familiar man comes to find him and asks him to remember.

Well written. Todd and Dirk gets caught by Priest in the Cardenas house, and taken to Blackwing. Lot’s of violence, but also emotions and plot; it doesn’t wallow in the gore. Good depiction of how Dirk at once understands that he need to comply and fall into old patterns if Todd is to survive. Good depiction of how they both cope and what happenes after.
