    Everyone in this Monastery had had years to adapt to the change, to get used to it, to start living it. Jay had mere months, and those months had been spent trapped in his room. He hadn’t been gradually introduced to these changes, he hadn’t experienced things changing one by one.. He was thrown in at the deep end and he couldn’t swim. Instead, he was just a weight sinking right to the bottom.

    And he sure felt like he was drowning.

    OR

    Months after getting his memories back, Jay is struggling to cope. Trying to act like things were normal, that they could be normal again, seemed to be his only way of keeping sane. Or so he thought..

    Basically just a psychotic!jay story, but hopefully not super ableist. Remeber how Jay kinda loses it in Hunted and Crystallized? Well, I'm building upon that and saying he experiences hallucinations and delusions even outside that. From his first hallucination (which I've set at the end of Possession) all the way to Crystalized, let's see how he and the other ninja handle things.

    Jay must learn how to navigate his new life with amnesia. He’s not the same Jay that everyone remembers, and he is well aware of that. Burdened with guilt and trauma from events he hardly remembers, the fear of never remembering, and wondering why he can’t love the way he used to.

    Long story short, Jay is tired and just wishes he could gain his memories back.

    Jay began to have these violent thoughts of hurting himself or others, and it scared him. He didn’t know what to say or how to address his situation, so he just decideds to suffer in silence but as his thoughts got worse so does his mental health and his friendships.

    Sometimes reality doesn’t flow as gently as it should. Jay learns this the hard way when the world he erased with his last wish begins to unveil itself, turning the tides of life itself and bringing back the horrors he had hoped forgotten. Worst of all, Nya is beginning to fall to a strange illness, an illness he remembers very well. It’s only a matter of time before the Tiger Widow venom that had nearly taken her life long ago destroys her, unless Jay can stop it.

    Fighting against his haunted past and last bits of future, Jay is forced to rethink everything he found important if he is to thrive. But when his enemies won’t let him rest, an entire change in mental attitude is a challenge he isn’t sure he can face alone. Mortality truly does tear away at what can never die.
