Summary
No one knows what kind of species is the Auditor. He is like a grunt, but darker and have some fire aspects around his body anatomy. There's no other sightings of species like him at all. Grunts who are loyal to him say that he is one of a kind.
The truth is, The Auditor isn't the last of their species, as they are still coexisting in Nevada.
Unlike the Auditor, they refuses to expose themselves with the Grunts and choose to live in secret while at the same time having themselves coexists along with the Grunts.
How? Simple.
The method of hosting into one grunt's body until the "body" had enough time in the world is one of the traditional solution they have in order to live together with the Grunts.It is very simple, yet still difficult, as one couldn't possibly had known when the body starts to fall apart and needs a new replacement since it could happen randomly. So one must prepare a new "body" in order to continue exist without getting themselves being seen by the grunts. For what reason? It is very unclear.
So what if, it turns out that one of Hank's teammates is The Auditors's species and it was the day where they have to change their "body"?
