"We need to go rescue them," Ezzo clarified, straightening. "Reinhard was clear. They can't solve it, destroy it, or leave- any longer and they'll starve."

Subaru felt a pit of worry in his stomach, but Roswaal spoke before he could formulate a sentence. "What makes you think~ you'll change this stalemate?"

"Simply put, we have no choice," he said. "We need Reinhard. Anastasia's camp needs her. And I'm assuming you all need Emilia to return, no?" He sat back. "We're here to ask for your assistance for this second expedition-"

    Subaru shot up. "I'll go."

Or: Subaru's name is eaten. This has different consequences than you might expect.

Every day, a girl came to his house to drop off her school notes.

He didn't know who she was, nor did he care.

Until one day, she entered his room.
