Castiel is a divine being; he is a soldier, a warrior to serve the lord to to bring his will unto earth and humanity combined, hence why he does not need a mortal form other to blend in as an angel.
Oh and not to burn out eyeballs — that tends not to go so well with humans
But the blocky character that signifies him pleases him, a little bit. Even if it defies him by sliding off the moving platform at the most inadequate moments — its body breaks apart when it makes contact with the glowing bricks while making an upset huff.
