Montross is a little cleverer on Korda VI. Jango ends up tossed into the cargo hold of 'The Stryker', a slaver freighter taking him to parts unknown and well out of Montross's way. Melida/Daan, weakened by its infighting and the Young suffering catastrophic losses, are raided by opportunistic slavers, resulting in Obi-Wan captured as a prize to be sold to a 'special' client - Force sensitive slaves are, after all, valuable cargo (and there is a dark shadow in the galaxy always on the look out for forgotten, powerful Force sensitives).
By sheer luck - or maybe the Force - they're locked in cages beside each other. They plan, they escape... and the future shifts.

The one who defied the Final Days.
A really damn good craftsman, not that anyone ever remembers that.
All of those are a moot point when, yet again, someone reaches out across time and space to yank her somewhere else. This time, however, she doesn't know why she, specifically, was called. Or why she was summoned to a school on a world that isn't even a Shard of her own. Not that she cares, precisely; there was no world ending danger when she left her world, and there doesn't seem to be any here.
Meaning she's free to focus solely on fixing up the old dorm she's been shoved into and enjoying a vacation! Sure, she might befriend some of the locals, but how much trouble can a bunch of students really get in to?

“What do you mean who?” Anko demands.
“The name is vaguely familiar,” she admits, “but, as I have reminded Mitarashi-san several times, I am not a ninja and we do not share the same social circles. Just from our conversation I can tell you that he’s a man and people probably don’t like him.”
“If you don’t know who he is then how do you know people don’t like him?” Anko asks, pointing an accusatory finger at the waitress.
“People don’t call you “friend killer” if they like you.”
