"There wasn't a correct answer to her last question. In a way, yes, she was scary. Everything about the Octozons and captivity was. But at the same time Four thought she wasn't. Her violet eyes, her mocking smile Four had seen hundreds of times already, her strong figure were everything that, being in different circumstances, Four would've called… Nice? Okay? Not scary? Her brain rejected the idea of using the word 'beautiful' about her enemy. That was too far. Charming? That was even further."
Agent Four, Callie and Marie are on the search for Captain Craig Cuttlefish who disappeared once again. However, a regular mission on the Octarian territory goes terribly wrong and Four gets to know the elite Octarian splatoon in charge of guarding it.
Plot-heavy story, the slow burn is REALLY slow.
There's a lot of smut tags but the fic is not smut-focused.

Following the break of the timeloops, Siffrin is hurting. He's gone through so much and it's not going to be easy to move past. They're not the same Sif that everyone else seems to remember. They don't even remember how they used to be. And... even if they do, their family specifically doesn't want them to put up those masks anymore.
Who is he without the masks?
Is he someone worth knowing?
(I explore Siffrin's trauma from the time loops including his depression, self harm, and suicidal thoughts. Eventually, he gets helped and opens up more to his family, but it's a long road to get there.)

The sight of the endless night sky above you gets filled with the pale, worried face of Isabeau.
Somehow, you're able to weakly croak out, "Isa."
Isabeau's face briefly flickers to relief, but it's quickly swallowed up by concern and panic. "Sorry, Sif," he apologizes. "This is going to hurt for a second."
What?
Isabeau presses down on your chest, and your vision fizzles out with static.
"No, no, no, Sif, Siffrin." You think Isabeau pats your cheek. His voice is so tinged with fear that you force your eye open. When did it close? "You have to stay awake. Okay?"
You try to nod, but your head doesn't move.
Isabeau looks away. "Mira, I need help."
Your consciousness flickers like a dying candle, and, suddenly, Mirabelle's hovering over you. Her palms glow with her Healing Craft and her eyes—wet with tears—reflect the light. Your head's cushioned against someone's chest, and when you look, Isabeau's arm is the only thing holding you up.

///This fic contains spoilers for ALL ACTS of In Stars and Time, including secret content!///
Picking up directly after the end of the game, this story follows a slow burn exploration of the adventures that Siffrin and his family go on, big and small, mundane or otherwise. The only variation from canon is that Loop could not help guide Siffrin nearly as much, resulting in many more loops than is feasible in the game. Post-Canon, the group deals with the immediate aftermath of their victory over the King as well as the slow recovery of Siffrin after his trauma. This fic will not entirely focus on trauma, nor will it always be from Siffrin’s perspective, but this happy ending will take him through many more of the dark corridors of his time in the loops before he can finally move past it. Other characters in his family will have perspectives and stories to tell as well along their many new, sometimes more mundane, adventures!
(After all, being with them a little longer couldn't hurt, right?)
