Summary
Grian is haunted by the events of 3rd Life, to the point where his mind would rather wander back to the desert rather than into the emptiness of sleep. On top of that, nobody else remembers the death game. Not even Scar, who keeps on acting like nothing has happened between him and Grian. It's gotten to a point where Grian's begun to avoid the other man entirely, unable to stand his suddenly unrequited feelings.
On one such sleepless night, he runs into Pearl at the Boatem Pole, and she gives him an early Christmas gift: a nutcracker. What neither of them realized, however, was the dream that was about to unfold and maybe, just maybe, help push Grian to face his fears once and for all. -
