Numbly, barely even aware of Izuku’s excited chatter as he explored the big hotel room, Katsuki went to find the bedroom. He stood in the doorway, feeling as if all hope was lost.
There were two beds. Two queen sized beds, right next to each other.
This was the worst thing that had ever happened to Katsuki. He felt numb. Empty. There was a despair creeping up inside of him that he was having trouble suppressing.
Two beds instead of one was not romantic.
Katsuki plans for the Only One Bed trope to save him. Instead he must face a new adversary: the Too Many Beds trope.

If they’re extremely lucky and their soulmate accepts them, the world transforms as color fills in. For most people, however, the world is simply white and grey.
Akaashi is lucky and finds his soulmate at the end of middle school; a shining star flying high on the court. A star that he is sure doesn't see him in the same way.

Summary
Everyone wishes that their soulmarks were unique, or romantic. Not a lot of people get those things. Akaashi has soulmarks that are romantic as hell. But they're also not something someone would normally say to someone they've just met. Which means that Akaashi doesn't really believe them for a second.
Bokuto's words are decidedly not romantic. They are however, a little concerning. Bokuto grows up worried about his soulmate, he wonders what has happened to make it so that his soulmate thinks so little of himself. The older he gets, the more true that is.
