Everything for Draco after the war has surprisingly been going well. When he decided to come back to Hogwarts, he was afraid everyone was gonna shun him for being a former death eater. He initially thought he deserved it. After all, many lives were lost in the war. But, surprisingly, almost everyone accepted him with open arms. Of course, there were still some students that avoided him as much as possible in the hallways, but most of his classmates who came back, especially the Gryffindors, looked past their history and it went so far where he can even call them friends. There is only one problem though.
The war has somehow made him realise what his true feelings were for Harry James Potter, and he is trying his best to ignore it because there was no chance Harry would ever feel the same.

"I rescind my accusation. Cadet Kirk did not subroute the finalization. He simply chose a more efficient methodology. I commend you for your actions, Kirk, and I would like to see you aboard the Enterprise."
A low, collective murmur fills the chamber, a hundred different reactions to Commander Spock’s abrupt and astonishing reversal. James T. Kirk feels the weight of every shocked gaze. He had expected a reprimand, a probation, or maybe even expulsion, but not… this. Not Spock’s commendation. Not Spock’s offer. And certainly not that look. The ghost of a smirk had been so quick, but the subtle, knowing flicker in those dark, almond-shaped eyes that followed was bold, undeniable, and utterly devastating. Kirk feels the heat rush to his cheeks, a blush he cannot control, and he instinctively bites his lower lip to quell the uncharacteristic flutter in his stomach.
