How fitting it is, that he should meet his end in the place where his descent began. Had he never stepped foot in Liyue, he never would have lost everything that truly mattered. He never would have found it either.
Love... hate... Childe can no longer tell the difference. All he knows is that the god dying in his arms deserved better than what Childe gave him. If he had one wish, here at the end of his miserable existence, he would wish to go back and take a different path. Luckily, there is at least one god willing to listen to the pleas of a wicked man.

It’s hard to define, but it’s a little like this: Zhongli’s blade in his back or Zhongli’s mouth on his cheek would be acts of violence equally pleasant to bear.
