Summary
Before the worst night of their lives, it was complicated enough. Kaitlyn wanted to sleep with Ryan, Ryan wouldn’t have minded sleeping with Kaitlyn but was also somewhat intrigued by Dylan, and Dylan was falling a little in love with Ryan. For ten minutes, alone around a firepit, they were definitely thinking about a threesome.
But then the worst night of their lives happened.
Now Kaitlyn is angry, dragging her emotional support Dylan down her path toward mental health, Ryan is fine and doesn’t need anyone, as long as he doesn’t talk to Dylan ever again, and it turns out no one ever really knew what Dylan was thinking in the first place, so maybe nothing’s changed there.

With nothing but their wit, stubbornness, each other and a whole lot of peanut butter pops, they must figure out a way to handle their condition, preferably before someone turns to the permanent solution; silver bullets.
A story about the young wolves of Hackett's quarry, trying to figure out their affliction without hurting anyone, or get locked up by the authorities (or Travis).

The pool house was cold and quiet, the hum of the old space heater filling in the gaps between crickets and heavy breathing. Abi was sat on the floor, her knees held close while Kaitlyn murmured to her, indecipherable. Ryan was rocking slightly, anxiety and horror emanating from his body as the aftershock of Nick’s transformation settled into all of their bones. And Dylan?
Dylan was as motionless as he had ever been, one thumb pressing into the centre of his left palm.
“I was right."
OR: A retelling of some of the events if you don't cut Dylan's hand off, along with a more satisfying epilogue.

“Please… Not Kaitlyn.” That was the only thing that made sense right now, there had been no one else around him during the time he changed; maybe Kaitlyn hadn’t been able to get away in time and the thought alone makes Dylan want to be sick. He doesn’t know how he would be able to handle the fact that he had killed Kaitlyn, doesn’t want to think about anything to do with that. But with all of the blood surrounding him that seemed to be the only thought in his head, there was too much blood on the ground and cars for anyone to survive. He had killed Kaitlyn, that had to be it.
aka: Kaitlyn goes back to the scrapyard after the game to find Dylan. Meanwhile, Dylan thinks that he's killed Kaitlyn while being a werewolf.

Ryan instinctively put his left hand over the barrel of the gun, feeling around for the trigger. “Maybe we could get that car down from the crane so we can take a look under that hood.”
“We?” Dylan rose his head back up, somewhat straightening his back as well. He could slightly feel the way his muscles tensed every time he moved. A dumb smile was right on Dylan’s lips as he placed a hand on his hip. “You always want me around you, don’t you Ryan?”
“Smooth.” Ryan motioned the gun towards the large case of stairs right next to the crane. “On second thought, maybe one of us should stay down here so it’ll be quicker to get the engine.”
In where, instead of Kaitlyn and Dylan at the scrapyard it’s Ryan and Dylan!
