Danny Phantom died in a lab accident. This is fairly common knowledge, considering his attire, but Maddie didn't make the connection until she overheard him talking about it with some of the other ghosts. Then she notices how much he looks like Danny. How much he sounds like him. How similar their mannerisms are, and their habits, and their sense of humor.
Unfortunately, she still manages to come to some slightly wrong conclusions.

Excellent story!!! Characters in character, side romance (that was actually pretty cute ngl), and DEMON PRINCE RIN yessssssss good soup.
The family vibes were so sweet btw <3 Especially loved Yukio being told off for his poor tail care XD
aaaaahhhhh wish more fics were like this rather than 90% slash T-Tedit: just remembered the link up of the end and the beginning!!! Love how you did that, author. When I started, I did think it was a bit heavy and sad, but I suppose that was the point lol esp when everything makes sense later. I AM SO GLAD RIN DID NOT DIE. That was the only thing- cuz the beginning kept haunting me until the end and all. Awesome writing style btw, didn't feel like too much or too little :D

Shen Yuan has had a push-and-pull relationship with Shen Qingqiu for years. Shen Yuan knows that Shen Qingqiu is meant to be a villain, but he knows just as well that many of the things Shen Qingqiu was accused of in Proud Immortal Demon Way were just shitty misunderstandings, and over the years Shen Yuan has become reluctantly fond of his Shizun.
Abusing Luo Binghe was not a misunderstanding, though, and Shen Yuan will do whatever he can to correct the fact that he wasn't there to protect Luo Binghe when it happened.

I also like that there are 2 TLJ in the timeline, I was worried about Binghe’s arrival with TLJ being old and less willing to get with a younger SX.

Backstory!!! Memories with Su Xiyan and Tianlang-jun and Zhuzhi-lang!!! I can’t wait to see how that affects things…maybe Binghe gets to meet his dad earlier if SY figures that out? Probably not tho. TLJ probably thinks SY also betrayed him, considering.
When the immortal alliance conference happens, I hope SY will remember enough to realize seeing the Old Palace master would be bad. Then again, he has to be there for Binghe…
