Kinktober Day 4: Body Writing
The bachelor auction is over, and somehow Eddie, arguably their most-eligible of eligible bachelors, has walked away with nothing but $2500 in the hole.
No one can believe it. Buck certainly can’t believe it. He has so many questions that need answering. Clearly there’s something or maybe someone special that Eddie’s holding out for. But before he can get a word in edgewise, Ravi has to go and open his big trap.
“Okay, dude, this is getting sad. The most action your bedroom has seen in the past year was Buck and Tommy.”
Or:
Buck's in the doghouse. Eddie has a bone to pick and a point to prove.

Summary
Buck had a complicated relationship with grief. Or with the grieving process. Both. Whichever. He never really got to experience the complex emotions associated with any of it. Not when he learned about Daniel. Not when he found Eddie broken and sobbing in his bedroom after taking a bat to the walls because his PTSD was drowning him. Not when he, himself, died and was trapped in a coma world. Not when he found out Eddie lied to him and was dating his dead wife’s doppelganger. Not when Chris left. Not when Eddie left. So openly grieving Bobby was a no starter. He broke down when it happened, the same as when he told Christopher about Eddie being shot. Where no one he knew could see or judge. Where they wouldn’t have to worry more about his grief over theirs.
OR
After Eddie is back in LA for Bobby's funeral, after the fight in the kitchen, he doesn't just sit back and let the fight stand. Buck doesn't want keep fighting, but he's tired and frustrated. He's tired of people demanding his grief be shared when none of them are experiencing the same grief.

Summary
Buck didn’t expect a warm welcome when he returned to the 118 after the lawsuit, but he also didn't think his teammates’ anger would last forever. When months go by and Buck is still all but invisible to the team, he decides that everyone would be less miserable if he worked anywhere else.
But leaving the 118 behind is no easy feat, and Buck isn’t sure if he can fully let go of the people he loves…especially his partner and his favorite kid. While Buck tries to figure out how to navigate his new life and care for his family from a distance, Eddie is forced to confront the Buck-shaped hole in his life and the realization that this time, it might be up to him to fix things, especially if there's any hope of getting Buck back where he belongs. -

Summary
Buck is no stranger to being alone. He spent years fending for himself after leaving the house he grew up in, and even the years before that, he didn’t really have anyone.
He thought he had found a family with the 118. He had a captain he came to see as a father, found a mother in Athena and a wider family from his coworkers and theirs. Buck even thought he might have a chance at something more with the man who was his best friend and his son. He should have known better.-+-
A post-lawsuit fic (kind of) where Buck leaves and never really had any intention of coming back. The universe has different plans for him though.

This one-shot came to me while I was listening to songs by Dolly Parton after hearing of her passing. (The Queen will always be loved in this household) It isn't a common song that people remember of Her's one of her older ones but listening to it made me think of the episode when the trail derailment happened and Abby showed up. I've also been re-reading several Navy SEAL Buck stories (Or reading them for the first time for some) and how he returned to the Navy after the events of the lawsuit...and well this story muse wouldn't let me go. So here you have it instead of working on my other stories we have this.

Buck has a feeling he's forgetting something. He just can't put his finger on what. Until he receives an angry phone call
Also don't hate me for this but chris is younger then in canon. Theo is 4 and chris is 9. I wanted them a bit closer in age and young enough to ask what certain words mean that older kids will understand. It might make sense in this story.

Summary
He’s speeding down the street and veering through traffic and lights to get to Buck in time. He thinks the worst, and his racing thoughts cause tears to stream down his face. He’s quick to wipe them away, though, so they don’t cloud his vision as he speeds to the apartment. Eddie continues to beat himself up, knowing this is all his fault, and partially the fault of the rest of their team, but mostly his own. His best friend needed him, and Eddie was too busy letting out his anger to notice his best friend sinking further down the rabbit hole of depression and guilt.
Or... Eddie finds a questionable voicemail from Buck and thinks the absolute worst and rushes over to stop his friend from doing the unthinkable. Will he make it in time? And if he does, will Buck come back to the golden retriever he once was, or will his insecurities get the best of him?
