In front of him, the looming shadow of Coulson’s apartment building mocked his uncertainty. For what felt like the millionth time, Clint debated with himself whether he should go inside. If Natasha could see him now, she’d laugh. Then she’d probably smack him over the back of the head and tell him to man up. Rolling his shoulders, Clint slipped inside the building before Natasha’s spider senses tingled and she appeared like a ninja. This was a bad idea. An insanely bad idea, but Clint had come all this way and he wasn’t backing out now.
Getting captured by HYDRA isn't a strange thing for Clint Barton. Only, this time it's not just him that's been caught. Clint might be a spy, but it's difficult keeping his feelings a secret, and soft confessions in the dark have the power to change everything. Now, Clint has to make the choice - does his risk it all and confess what he feels to the one man he loves?

Phil could tell Clint was forcing his casual tone, but he didn’t question it. “No matter how dirt poor we got, we could always scrape together enough change for the $2 giant-ass plastic bag of corn flakes.” He sat up and turned toward Phil. “I used some of my first paycheck from SHIELD to buy, like, six boxes of cereal, all the most colorful, sugary kinds I’d never gotten to eat. I opened all of them that day. The Lucky Charms were gone by the next morning.”

It took Phil years to convince Clint that his "condition" isn't something that he needs to protect Phil from, that being a werewolf doesn't make him any less human than he has always been. Clint wants so badly to believe Phil, wants to believe that he can still have a normal life, or as normal as working for SHIELD can be. But when they give in to one night of careless passion, the consequences of their actions may change all of that...
Phil took a deep breath and leaned forward to catch Clint’s face in his hands. Clint’s entire body was sheened with sweat, and even in the dim light Phil could see that his eyes were a lighter shade of sky blue than his normal blue-green, and there was a small tuft of grey fur between his eyes, a barest hint of a coat over the back of Clint’s normally smooth arms and all the way down his spine. He was still human, only with some animal features that looked like special effects make up, and he was the most beautiful creature Phil had ever laid eyes on. “It’ll be okay, Clint.”

Thing about being a Were? Everybody got it wrong. All the myths and legends were laughable considering how far off they were from the reality. Take the full moon thing. Yeah, no. Weres changed whenever they wanted to, day or night, waxing or waning. Best anyone could explain, the moon cycles stories went hand-in-hand with the female menstrual cycle, sort of a misogynistic “once-a-month-craziness-happens” defense that became men’s excuse to go on rampages and get away with it.
