Nick has heard from Otis that a certain popular brunette named Charlie Spring, who is also the head boy of Truham Grammar School and Nick's unbearable crush, is gonna be participating in the next school play.
Nick knows he's being manipulated, and it's working.There's a musical play on Truham and Nick joins because he has an unbearable crush on Charlie. (The musical is Into the Woods)

"Nick," the woman says. She looks at him, right at him, with an eerie calm that sends shivers down his spine. "Do you think you and Charlie are soulmates?"
"Well, you just said—"
"It doesn't matter what I said. Do you believe, deep down, in your heart of hearts, that you two are meant to be? That you two would find each other in any universe?"
Nick is positive that he'll wake up tomorrow and scoff at the things his brain comes up with when he's tired, heartbroken, and running on fumes and vodka lemonades. He knows all of this means nothing, and the woman in front of him isn't real, and this party isn't real, and none of this is real, and Nick is living in a nightmare. He knows he'll wake up soon.
Still, might as well tell the truth.
"Obviously. Yes."
The woman smiles. "Good. Then prove it."
Or, it's been minutes since Nick and Charlie broke up, and Nick is already desperate enough to use interdimensional time-traveling to fix it. Featuring alternate universes, angst, fluff, a quick stint as enemies-to-lovers, flower shops, Ferris wheels, and a touch of magic.

Summary
“You’re going to make me burn our breakfast,” Charlie whined, “And I’m not remaking it.”
“Go on then,” Nick said with a laugh, releasing his boyfriend with a light smack on his pants-clad bum, “We wouldn’t want burnt bacon. Is there anything I can do to help?”
Charlie took the pan of bacon off the stove, deeming it ready. “You could use this burner and fry up some potatoes while I finish off the eggs?”
The two of them cooked together, moving around each seamlessly as if sharing a kitchen was a common occurrence for the two of them. As Four moved into Take Me Home, Charlie plated up the eggs and popped the kettle on while Nick checked the hash browns for doneness.
Once everything was ready, they sat across from each other at their tiny kitchen table, smiling at each other with what they figured was the same thought - how lucky they were to be here, together in their very own flat.
“So,” Charlie said, breaking the giddy silence, “I had something to talk to you about.”

Summary
What if Charlie never met one Nick Nelson in high school? What if all of his romantic idealism didn't meet its perfect match in Hamlet House? Charlie would need to find a new outlet for it, of course! Which he has, as a successful romance author. Despite all of his success in his career, Charlie still wishes for the kind of love he puts down on the page. He finds all he wishes for and more one day, when he is unceremoniously hit by a rugby ball.
An AU no one asked for where Charlie and Nick met later in life and Charlie is a romance author.

Charlie Spring has been a physical therapist for the Leeds Badgers professional rugby team for two years. At the start of his third season, Nick Nelson is traded to the Badgers and both Nick and Charlie's worlds are turned upside down.
Here it is, the Heartstopper x Sweater Weather crossover nobody but me clamored for! You do not need to read SW to read this fic. However, if you HAVEN'T read lumosinlove’s Sweater Weather (and Coast to Coast, and, well, everything), you absolutely should, because it is a remarkable piece of writing (as well as its own standalone AU).
There will be parallels and divergences from both Heartstopper and Sweater Weather in this story.
Do I know a ton about rugby? Nope! Do I live in England? I sure don't. Will I get a lot of things just wrong enough to be annoying? Definitely! Will there be science facts at the end of each chapter? I can’t help it. Enjoy the ride.

The thought of it alone made Charlie's head spin and the butterflies in his belly start to fly. Was he ready to take the next step with Nick? Yes. Did he think Nick was ready to take the next step with him? Yes? Probably? For a short moment he thought about asking Tao about his opinion of if whether Nick seemed ready to him. But he really wanted to stay alive so he could kiss Nick after school today and decided for the better against it.
The real question he had to consider though: Was Charlie actually brave enough to take the next step with Nick?

Summary
The owner of one of Kent’s beloved boutique plant shops is a known bisexual disaster. The ‘For Lease’ sign in the window next door has been up for months, and Nick is dying to turn his little block into a queer destination with the assistance of the owners of the café across the street, girlfriends/meddlers Tara and Darcy.
Charlie is excited to finally open his queer bookstore with best friend Isaac. But at the same time, he's wrestling his way out of a bad relationship, and can't quite accept the kindness that the store owner next door extends to him while he stresses over his on-again, off-again boyfriend.
aka another AU loosely based on Alice Oseman’s minicomic Flower Shop, but add in a sprinkle of bookshop AU and a pinch of coffeeshop AU, and a whole lot of mutual pining.
Featuring trans!Charlie because I love him.
