Summary
When Kotallo lost his arm, it was more than just a limb that he had lost. It was his prowess with a bow. It was his utility as a Marshal. His arm was gone, his life a ruin, and nothing would ever be the same.
It did not occur to him that this could be a good thing.
It did not occur to him that he could find new purpose in his life. It did not occur to him that an outlander with hair like blood and a spirit as fierce as blazefire would help him find that purpose.
