Summary
Macaque believed in the notion that eventually, a good actor could buy into their own performance. MK had seen right through the “bad boy” act Macaque had been playing, and knew that deep down, there was still someone good in there with the chance to change.
Bai He wants to prove that she isn’t just the Lady Bone Demon’s host, and with her newly obtained powers she seeks guidance from Macaque to defend herself from energy stealing demons who seek to take it for themselves.
Now, Macaque has to put on an entirely new act in order to convince himself that he hasn’t grown fond of the girl.
