A mystical medallion so powerful that it is said to grant the wearers' most deep-seated desire. But the boys know all too well from past experience how detrimental that can be. However, Castiel is oblivious to its true power, (even if it managed to fully reconstruct his wings) he already knows the one thing his heart truly desires is something he can never have.
Dean thinks he’s going crazy, he’s always had a little crush on his best friend, a ‘look but don’t touch’ kind of thing. Summary

But second chances come with consequences. Back on Earth, Dean has to deal not only with the fallout of tampering with the timeline, but with Cas—now maddeningly human, and harder than ever to keep at arm’s length. Friends with benefits feels like the easiest bad idea he’s ever had.
And with angels on the brink of rebellion, war looming, and even the animals acting strange, Dean doesn’t exactly have time for distractions. Too bad staying away from Cas has never been his strong suit.

Summary
Most people probably wouldn’t take the naked, heavily wounded man they found in an alley home with them. Most people probably wouldn’t also offer that man a place to stay and become his best friend after realizing he’s suffering from an intense case of post-traumatic retrograde amnesia. Most people probably wouldn’t then risk almost everything they know to save said man, and maybe save the world in the process.
But then again, Dean Winchester, RN (with a specialty in supernatural care), has never been like most people. He may not have a magical bone in his body, unlike his brother Sam, but he’ll do whatever it takes to help. Even if Castiel has questionable opinions about Star Trek.
