“Oh!” Stolas felt quite foolish. “My apologies, um… yes, of course you can borrow it when I’m done. I won’t be needing it anymore, after all.” He smiled, then tried to bring himself back to the task at hand. He inhaled and exhaled slowly and closed his eyes again.

Become a priest and marry God instead! Decide to flee from your family, have a couple identity crisis as a closeted gay young man, become a perfect example as a cleric, be too nice, end up as a the lapdog of an Archbishop, be successful but exhausted, get too friendly with the church wine, enter the mid 30s depression, fuck-up everything you constructed until this point, get promoted to Bishop as an excuse to be secretly banished to a weird ass town in the middle of nowhere…. and meet Blitzø, the annoying love of your life.
Stolas' plan at 10 years old of becoming a priest to avoid marrying Stella was absurd from the start, but he never expected what he would find when he arrived at Holy Water town as the new Bishop. Nobody trained him to do exorcisms!

What happens when both are trying to change their behavior, while also trying to maintain their facade and secrets?

What happens when people can't stop crashing through, figuratively and literally? What happens when things change?
What happens when everything goes wrong?

What happens is a delightful assortment of chaos, relationships both old and new, and a found family just doing their fucking best even though everything is going wrong all of the fucking time.
