The problem was, Dazai thought to himself, staring at the mound of plushies on his bed, that there was hardly even anything to mourn. His relationship wasn’t even over. It was just… in a rough patch.
Ranpo had called, of course. And tried to visit. And left flowers and new plushies at his door, as well as slipped notes underneath it, and even, on a particularly notable occasion, tried throwing rocks at his window.
But Dazai was intent on ignoring him, at least for now. The feelings he was experiencing were new and complicated-- but even if he was mad at Ranpo, he still missed him. Immensely.
Still, that wasn’t a good enough excuse for the lengths he was about to go to.

“UNO!” Sebek screeches at the top of his lungs, causing Azul and everybody in the general vicinity to cover their ears and wince. He promptly wins the game because Idia puts down a card which helps him. “Hah!” He boasts proudly, “I win!”
It’s then that Azul realises they haven’t actually negotiated the deal at all, and that he’s been dragged along their rigged UNO Game for half an hour.
“Are we actually going to make a deal or have you just done this to make fun of me?” He sighs.
“Take out your phone,” Idia mumbles. Azul complies, and Idia takes out his phone and taps the tops of them together. “Boop,” he says, because he’s a dumb loser who does things like this which make him either endearing or annoying. It takes a few minutes, but eventually all of the files are transferred over.

An incurable condition, completely and undeniably impossible to survive without having to give up all you hold dear. Like choosing between a knife and a gun, one ends your pain faster, but the other gives you a tiny chance to live another day.
With all this poetry, full of beautiful words and attempts at pseudo-depth, there is one thing Kalim could say.
The legend of Hanahaki was a big lie. It wasn't about unrequited love, but about the original individual feeling incapable of being loved in the same way, it was never the other person's fault but their own for their exaggerated love.
They simply had to stop being in love. That was how he survived two cases of hanahaki, without telling a single soul.
Until the third case came along, and he couldn't stop being in love.
