Summary
Deep hidden away in a drawer in the halls of Grimmauld Place was a diary, written by RAB. The pages were well worn, some had stained coffee rings because of the faint smell emitting from it. Others were blurred beyond recognition from tears that must have been shed. The occasional photograph stuck between pages for those small moments of happiness that he held on to. Flowers pressed between pages as a sort of way to keep some things alive.. The magic of this diary held a small piece of his soul. No it wasn't a horcrux but it was a sort of dark magic long ago forgotten. Those pages held a story of a boy forced to grow, forced into a life he did not want for himself.

He expected her to be shocked, or angry, maybe exhibit a hefty dose of disbelief. He expected her to reveal a bunch of books proving him otherwise.
He didn’t expect to see her face crumple and look as if she was about to cry. “Malfoy, you don’t need to tease me.”

She shifted in her seat. “It’s more believable. And if I am your mate, I know you don’t want me to be.”

Summary
The war ended and the summer is over – Hermione is returning to Hogwarts to finish her education, Ron is going to auror training, Professor Snape is resuming his duties as Head of Slytherin and Potions Master. On the surface everything seems perfect.
However, after a turbulent summer, Hermione is less and less certain that Ron's the one for her.
Ron, however, just knows what their relationship needs. And when he decides to give it a gentle little push in the right direction, it turns all their lives upside down.
Initial Ron/Hermione, but this is a Severus/Hermione story though and through. It’s a fast paced, short series (that started out as a one shot in my head) with (I hope) an interesting but simple plot and quite a bit of explicit smut.
Note: I think Ron and Hermione aren’t a good match for each other, and while I think Ron is a dingus in cannon, I don’t think he would do something this stupid. However, Ron-bashing is my guilty pleasure, and in this story, he has no redeemable qualities. You've been warned.Disclaimer: A student/teacher relationship in real life is never acceptable.
