Will takes a shaky breath, “You know what? We’re done.”
“What?” He looks back.
“We’re done.”
“You- you're breaking up with me over some stupid fight?”
“Yes I am. Because clearly you don’t need me, you and I are over.” Will leaves the room in a huff, putting on his (Mike’s) jacket.
Mike stays seated for a moment, eyes wide in disbelief. He follows, processing what happened, “Wait! Will, don't go!” He grabs Will's wrist before he can fully exit the door. Will turns around, his bloodshot eyes blur with tears.“I didn’t-” Mike tries.
“Don't. I'm done. I can’t do this anymore.” Will sighs, a single tear falls from his eye, “Goodbye Mike.”

Mike and Will break up after having a huge fight, The A story is of how the two work things out, the B story is flashbacks that show how they got into this mess in the first place

“So, how’ve you been?” Mike hands him a glass of wine.
Will could lie and say he’s been great, everything's going amazing for him. But Mike would catch on and see right through him. Not wanting to dump everything on him now, Will replies, “I’ve been fine.”
Fine. Their code word for “I need to talk.”
“Oh? What’s up?” Mike’s soft voice relaxes him.
Where does he even start? “Well, most things are going well. I made a few hundred off one painting and I got a promotion,”
“That’s good.”
Will takes a sip, “Yeah, but…”
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m not sure, maybe I’m wrong, but… I think Carlton's cheating on me.”
OR
Will thinks Carlton is cheating, and when he goes to confront him, he gets knocked out

About ten minutes later Mike came back. He walked back over from the kitchen, looking around for Will, who was in the same spot.
He stopped when his eyes met Will’s. Will gave a soft smile and a confused wave back.Why is he looking at me like that?
Mike walked closer, still looking at him. Something about it- the sparkle in his eye, the redness in his cheeks- It was so beautiful.
Eventually he blinked and looked away, “Um, hey.”
“Hi…?” Will said in more of a question than a statement.
“Still not having fun?”
“No, watching Dustin try to sing is pretty fun,”
Mike leaned against the wall with him, he finally didn’t have a drink.“I guess…” He uttered. After a moment of awkward silence Mike left.“You’re on your own, this is boring.”
Will let go of a breath he didn’t know he had.
Why is Mike acting weird?
Of course he was acting weird. He was drunk. But something about how he was acting this time felt weirder. Awkward. Different. Will just brushed it off and kept watching the chaos.

No, Mike doesn't like Will, he couldn't. If he did he would've taken the chance to tell him on the tower. Unless his feelings are new he should've said something. Should Will say something? What would he even say? It doesn't matter, even if he did know what to say Mike doesn't like him and never will. He's just zoned out again and probably doesn't know he's looking directly at Will.
All this thinking gave him a headache, now he was the one who was zoned out.
OR
Will doesn't understand Mike's signals and ends up believing the wrong thing

“I have a what?” Mason exclaims, eyes widening dramatically as he leans forward on the couch.
Will, ever patient, lays a hand on one of the legs he’s currently kneeling between, settled on the living room rug. “A sister,” he repeats. His voice is a stark contrast to Mason’s, all gentle and calm.
“Yeah, I got that part,” Mason says, dangerously toeing the line into condescension. “What does that mean? Did you go out and adopt a kid while I was at school?”

Mason’s biological sister, newly entered into the foster system, comes to live with Mike and Will. Considering Mason’s jealous history with little girls, his transition into brotherhood is not bound to be pretty.
