Summary
Arthur gave Merlin his cloak thinking only of the warmth it would offer in a snowstorm. He never thought his manservant may be mistaken for him and snatched by bandits. Nor did he expect his dashing rescue of Merlin to turn his world so utterly on his head.
Because the bandits hadn't kidnapped a prince. They'd snatched a sorcerer, and now captivity is the least of anyone's problems.
A golden age awaits, but can they claim it together, or are they doomed to fail?

Merlin's magic is revealed to Arthur after he is captured by bandits and subjected to sorcerer's bane, a metal that takes away magic. Arthur is warily accepting of Merlin's magic, and it is also shared with the knights. This is a major Merlin whump on several accounts, and Arthur grows increasingly protective of Merlin. During Merlin's recovery from the bane, he undergoes a magical trial where he finds more pieces od his magic until it is fully realized and he taps into his limitless power. Uther has been under magical attack by Morgause and eventually dies, making Arthur King, and he is determined to make magic legal in Camelot again. Morgana is not villainous in this, she is an ally whom Merlin helps train as a sorceress. Merlin and Arthur have a special magical bond. When Morgause attacks Camelot, Merlin is "killed" but comes back because he's immortal. Only, he has to choose whether to come back with little/no control over his magic, or to stay dead and wait in Avalon. He comes back and releases raw magical power into the world, but Arthur is Merlin's anchor and is able to bring him back to himself. Features lots of soft, tender, intimate moments between the boys (also has sexytimes but the non-sexy intimate moments were actually my fave), the knights being amazing friends, Arthur being protective, Merlin being both a feral eldritch terror being but at the same time a soft shy boi, and Merlin becoming king consort.

Not that I have read much Merthur at all, but this one's probably the best. Merlin's been waiting 1500 years for Arthur's return and he finally comes back and the prophecy is fulfilled. Filled with Arthur being the bestest boyfriend and Merlin trying to overcome his trauma.

“Oh dear,” says Aziraphale, completely unapologetic. “How rude of me.”
Crowley begins to smile something slow, bright, and lovely, but he schools it with a bite to his lower lip. Aziraphale thinks of the way he looked two millennia ago, pressed up against the wall with Aziraphale's blessing healing his wounds, the only demon to experience divine ecstasy and live to tell the tale. How Aziraphale's hands itch to do it again, and again, and again. Crowley opens his mouth as if to say something, but then stops and spins around instead to go back to stirring the curry.
“Shut up,” he says to the stove, flustered.

Unfinished. Aziraphale is Supreme Archangel in Training for 4 years. In that time, Crowley becomes Grand Duke of Hell. Aziraphale gets sentenced to Erasure from the Book of Life after trying to stop the Second Coming (by accidentally starting it, because apparently he was created to ruin things). Aziraphale and Crowley are walking on eggshells around each other yet can't stay away. Shit hits the fan when Crowley finds our about Azi's limited time and they have seggs in the Bentley. They love each other so much. Muriel is a drug user. We thought Saraqael was cool but she sucks. All the women are infertile. I need MORE.
