Summary
Wilbur was dead for a long time before, suddenly, he wasn’t. And he intended to make that everyone’s problem.

The station was cold. Wilbur was so very cold.
The rails were still and quiet, the metal and bolts beginning to chip away with time. One day, he hoped, the whole thing would collapse in on itself like an ancient beast and swallow them both whole. But here they were, cards painted with spades between Wilbur’s fingers and a carved smile on the other man’s mask.
“You aren’t quite where you’re supposed to be, are you?”

Dream XD rescues Wilbur from Limbo but not without a contract. Meanwhile, Wilbur gets too attached to a group of kids and has to deal with the consequences that brings. Found family, baby!

Summary
He’d fall asleep to the thought of it, in that bedroom - how he’d left to live in a studio apartment two miles down the road at twenty, disappearing entirely at twenty six and returning at twenty eight, bitter as lemon rinds and just as easy to pick to pieces - and then he’d wake up, still only himself.
Following the death of his ex-wife, Wilbur agrees to pause his music career to take care of his daughter and reconnect with a family estranged by time and loss. Quackity is just an elementary school teacher trying to mourn his child in peace.

“He’s mine now, we’ve both agreed on that.” Wil said, gesturing towards the little kid, who brightly smiled at Quackity and waved with more energy than necessary.
Or; Wilbur and Quackity are roommates in their college campus. One day, Wilbur comes in with a street kid, and they decide to impulse-adopt the kid together. As time passes by, they realize this kid is just bringing more street kids for them to adopt. And they will do so.
Or or; Wilbur and Quackity are the kind of gay pair to see street kids and say "is anyone gonna adopt that?" and not wait for an answer.

“You’re bleeding,” Wilbur says instead of answering, leaning over to wipe shakily at the crimson streaking down the side of Tommy’s nose.
Tommy shrugs. “I think Dream clipped me with his knife on the way out. No big deal.”
No big deal, Wilbur thinks hysterically. Just got a minor knife wound whilst escaping from the headquarters of a murderous secret society. No big deal.

Summary
Hesitantly, he presses a trembling hand to the glass.
The entire universe is spread out underneath his finger tips, hundreds upon hundreds of stars swirling in constellations he doesn't know, a melting pot of dazzling colors, vivid pinks and deep blues, swatches of yellow and green.
If he squints, he can make out planets. Tiny little dots, hardly bigger than the nail on his pinky finger. That little grey one must be Lestea, the trade moon they just left, but the others? he has no idea.
One of them must be earth. How ironic is that he's the first human to ever leave the Milky Way Galaxy, and all he wants to do is go back home?
(In other words; After rescuing Tommy, sbi and co. embark on a roadtrip through the Esempi Galaxy to return him to his home planet, Earth. They make a few pit stops, piss off some shopkeepers, make some strange friends, and learn how to be family along the way)
