Written for the Hannibal Kink Meme prompt: Will figured out Hannibal was the Chesapeake ripper, resulting Hannibal's imprisonment and a complete breakdown for Will. A few years later, Hannibal escapes from prison. Despite the risk, the first thing he does is go after his Mongoose. Give me obsessive, possessive, creepy as hell Hannibal who still wants Will for his own.

One of my favorite types of Harry Potter fics are the ones where we see these kids who have been through so much in the future, interacting together, and attempting to overcome their childhood misunderstandings. My heart always ached at the lost chance of certain friendships. Also, I really disagree with the way certain people in the books were seen and treated as automatically evil, beyond understanding, and how it is assumed that it would have been so easy and obvious for them to come to the side of the "light". Uh, no, there was more more going on in their lives, and anyone who believes they could have done better are bloody liars. Doesn't mean they are perfect, or even "good" people in the traditional sense, but they ARE people. And you can get to know and learn to respect people for who they are because they may be amazing, just in their own ways, but no one even tried to get to know them in the canon. Of course, as stated above, they were a bunch of kids! Both sides acted childish, and this is what preventing friendships, but I didn't enjoy how the books (and especially the movies) promoted these childish attitudes.
I may be biased but for the reasons listed, as well as because one of my majors is philosophy, I enjoyed all the morality and ethical conversations. So many differing perspectives, and yet all these different people were able to come together, and it was beautiful.
This fic was so lovely and brilliant, and I want to thank the author for giving insight into characters I have always desperately wanted to know more about, like Pansy and Blaise. Everyone was perfect in this fic.
