Para evitar una guerra y dejar todo aquel desastre resuelto antes de morir, el rey Viserys pensó que sería una gran idea unir a su nieto y a su hijo por deber, pero nada más lejano a la realidad. Y lo que en aquel momento le pareció una buena idea, considerando que en algún momento durante su niñez, Aegon y Jacaerys tuvieron una buena relación, no estaba resultando.
Los príncipes se odiaban.
Realmente se odiaban. Uno era el príncipe perfecto y el otro el desastre hecho Targaryen. Ya no quedaba nada de aquella dulce amistad. Ahora solo habían peleas y una horrible actitud entre ellos.
O... ¿toda esa mezquina actitud era producto del deseo que no querian admitir?

Lucerys Velaryon, el segundo hijo, heredero de Driftmark, una noche es revelado como un omega varón, una anomalía para la familia Targaryen. Lucerys debe probar ser un heredero digno, además, enfrentarse a su tío Aemond Targaryen, hijo del segundo matrimonio de su abuelo Viserys, quien pedirá su mano por órdenes del rey, a pesar de odiarlo por haber mutilado su ojo durante la infancia.
Aemond quiere el trono para su hermano mayor, Aegon, el primogénito varón, y además alfa, de su padre Viserys.
Aemond resulta odiar a Lucerys tanto como parece desearlo. Se dice que usa su lengua para insultar al omega tanto como la usaba para darle placer.
Lucerys tiene la orden de su madre. Decide cumplir con la responsabilidad de cenar con el enemigo y enredarse en las sábanas con él.
Los amantes danzarán con sus dragones sobre el verde y negro en un juego de tronos para los que ellos consideran rey y reina, donde ganas o mueres.
En el norte existe una amenaza mayor. El invierno se acerca.
