Summary
Link is struggling after the defeat of Calamity Ganon. Plagued by the guilt from lives lost in the calamity as well as the trauma Zelda and the champions endured while waiting for him to return, he retreats to his house in Hateano village where he plans to remain alone. Worst of all he believes his relationship with his love Mipha, to be forever ruined.
However, after Link has a panic attack during Zelda’s coronation, Zelda and the others are no longer able to ignore Link’s declining mental health. Not knowing what else to do, Zelda sends Link to live in Zora’s Domain, his childhood home, indefinitely. Link resents her order, but a plot from the Yiga clan to enact revenge on Zelda and Link for the defeat of Ganon just might bring him and Mipha closer together again, as well as allow link to repair his relationships with his friends.
This story takes place in an alternate universe where the champions were possessed by the blight Ganons and survived in stasis until Link freed the Divine Beasts.

"She knew Mira. She knew. 3 years she's known and known and said NOTHING." The final word was another scream, another wrenching full body swing of the mace.
"We weren't exactly forthcoming ourselves."
"3 years of thinking we didn't want her, that we chose to not have her, that we were hiding from her."
"We were hiding." We did choose.
The mace swings again, two handed, shaft flexing under the blow.
"3 years of choking back the screams, crying into pillows, sneaking about, lying. Trying to get Bobby to set up that trust without asking any questions. Oh god Mira, is this why she never comes to the bathhouse? Is she giving us space to get our freak on?"
"Maybe. We have after all. Remember Busan?"

Summary
Everything was supposed to be good once the Honmoon was sealed, but why does it feel like Mira and Zoey don't want to be around Rumi anymore? Now they are off on a trip leaving Rumi alone to wonder if something is deeply wrong with her. This leads her to some old habits, and during her solitude she begins to let her emotions out through making new music, she just hopes no one will find out what she's writing. They might get concerned.
