His backpack was already at the door—four spare changes of clothes, hygiene things, money, dried food, camping utensils, and their map. Izuku was in charge of bringing the notebooks they'd be using to document their progress, and he'd be carrying the tent since Katsuki would be carrying the cooking stuff. Katsuki would be carrying the sleeping bags so that Deku could carry the medicines and potions.
They were ready. They were so fucking ready. They already knew all of the most common Pokemon on their routes, and had plans for which to catch in orders to make others easier to catch.
They were gonna be Masters. Together.

Summary
Mitsuki Bakugou brought Kyrin home as a puppy when Katsuki was eight years old. None of them knew exactly what she was back then; she was just a tiny ball of fluff, malnourished and weak and clearly abandoned. She looked like a husky mix of some sort, but that was all they knew. It wasn't until she started growing that they realized she wasn't just a normal mixed breed.
Katsuki bonded to her immediately, nursing her back to health almost entirely on his own. He loved the half-wild little creature, and it was abundantly clear that the feeling was mutual. They grew up side by side, each of them a constant in the other's life. He trained her himself, and from the very beginning, her level of intelligence was beyond anything he'd ever known in any other dog.

Izuku and Bakugou had a long and complicated history, but most of the school was pretty sure that they understood where the two currently stood as rivals. Then Izuku's dad showed up on campus and everyone's preconceptions were mercilessly thrown out the window. In which Bakugou tries to murder a man, has a soft side and convinces his entire class the twilight zone is real.
Ft. Part 2: Turns out Izuku and Bakugou will work together willingly if given proper motivation. Endeavor showing up for a training exercise apparently qualifies. Aizawa is really tired of these children not asking for help and everyone else is absolutely terrified (and secretly very glad these two don't work together more often).
