For reasons best known to herself, Tifa waited until the middle of the mission to ask what was - in retrospect - a tremendously pertinent question. "Do you think you might have a problem?" she asked in a low voice.
Aeris paused, wirecutters poised on the next link in the fence and turned to face her in the gloom. "What do you mean?" she replied in the same moment she squeezed the device and snipped the metal clean in two.
"This," Tifa said and gestured at the fence. The arc of her arm suggested her question encompassed everything; the chain-link fence, the wirecutters, perhaps even the Junon runway and maybe the waiting Gelnikas.
Aeris has a flying vehicle problem.

Reeve should be doing something else while the upload trundled on, but concentrating on anything else – including actual work expected in his position – was near impossible.
This was a big moment.
A culmination of so much; creating the robotics, creating the interface, controls. Walking motions, balance, the tiny cameras in the cat’s eyes – all complex but doable. He could control his robotic creation with a deft, almost unnoticeable touch via remote. With much practice came experience and skill in gauging distances and the speed of the robot under his direct control. He was pretty perfect at guiding Cait Sith now – if only he could fully devote his time to operating the cat.
The original plan was for Reeve to operate Cait Sith directly. This was not tenable given all the expectations of his normal work. All seemed lost until he learned of a division with Shinra experimenting with artificial intelligence. Shame something seems to have gone badly wrong when applied to Reeve's robot.

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS!! It's a wonderful sequel (continuation?) of the manga, matching it in style and tone. The fic itself is carefully plotted with great action that simultaneously brings new plots while expanding on threads Togashi himself has laid, and most importantly deep dives into the emotional aftermaths of said events with some poignant character development

However, just because there’s no spirit detective, doesn’t mean there’s no one to defend against troublesome demons. “So what do you say, Botan? How about us girls tackle the problem, this time?”

Summary
Kuwabara couldn't have guessed how chasing demons might affect his ability to sense ghosts - in fact he'd never would have even thought about it to begin with, if he hadn't joined a college paranormal club. When he drags Yusuke along on a practice case, three things are obvious: 1) Oh boy is he rusty, 2) There's no use in denying what he knows is happening and 3) the most important thing is that the spirit gets to move on.

Summary

This series includes the fancomic North Bound, the story of Hokushin and Raizen's adventures.
This is a collection of stories, illustrations and comics focused on Hokushin (predominantly Hokushin and Yusuke, but the timeline has increased to before the beginning of the series). Wide range of tone from serious to silly, straightforward to more experimental.
All stories tend to follow manga continuity first and anime continuity where appropriate, and draw from canon as much as possible, with a lot of nostalgia.
Each piece/chapter can be read on its own, though they will make reference to conversations and events in other pieces.
