Summary

The Clan decides to take her in, at the behest of one of their hunters, Trilan Lavellan, but not all agree with his decision. Cassandra grows close to the hunter as she learns more of Dalish life. Summary
The explosion at the Conclave damages the Veil irrevocably, and breaks open Elgar'nan's prison. Solas is still weak from his slumber, but if he does not find a solution quickly, great evil will be released upon the world. Working in secret within the Inquisition, he searches for a way to seal away the Blight and defeat Elgar'nan before time runs out.
Of course he cannot afford to be distracted by the elven woman who has become known as the Herald of Andraste - this would be the worst possible time for him to fall in love.
This is an Inquisition-era AU where the explosion at the Conclave goes even worse and Solas is forced to do a lot more plotting and scheming. Featuring secrets revealed earlier than in canon; some adventures in ancient Arlathan; plus an excursion to the Black City.

Inquisitor Ixchel Lavellan was a teenaged elf-blooded orphan taken in by the Lavellan Clan and sent to the Conclave due to her ability to pass as a human. Bare-faced and brave, she answered a fateful call for help and ended up positioned in-between Corypheus and godhood; mages and Templars; humanity and the elves; the weight of faith and the pressure of duty; the dead past, and a dead future.
Those who loved her did what they thought they could to keep the weight of the world off her shoulders, but in the end their secrets, betrayals, and expectations became too much. Believing her existence to have been entirely futile in the face of Fen'Harel's plans, Ixchel Lavellan took a potent poison and laid down her sword on her own terms.
As the Veil began to unravel and the fabric of reality tore apart at the seams, a desperate ally sacrificed everything to give her a second chance.
And though Ixchel may never forgive him, she returns to the Conclave determined to shape the world just as viciously as it shaped her the first time.
