"Seriously, dude?" Grian demanded. "You want to have sex right now? Here?" He swept an arm out in a wide, scandalized gesture to encompass their current surroundings: the tower's walls that came up just past their stomachs, the MCC dome standing directly in front of them, the wide-open night sky above their heads. Yet despite his words, Grian found himself smiling, helpless to do anything else in the face of Scar's antics.
Undeterred, Scar started smoothing his hand up and down Grian's side. "Oh, come on, Grian," he said, a mischievous slant to his grin, eyes sparkling brighter than the celebratory light show. "You wouldn't leave a man out in the cold all by himself, would you? After I've given you such a compelling offer?"

Scar found himself in an incredibly embarrassing predicament.
He has powers. Weak ones, meant to subdue and stop anybody from running. That's just how Vex magic works. But today was different. A lot more stressful.
His powers had turned against him, and now he was bound with no sign of it wearing off. Red, thin strings looped around his wrists and pulled them above his head, legs free to move but his waist was tied in a string. And- Normally it isn't an issue.
Typically, he could just try and fall asleep, and hope that it would sort itself out, but now he has a new problem.
This was hot. Like, scary hot.
--> Scar's Vex powers put him in a situation; he was bound up by his own thread and couldn't see any way of escape. He needed to call someone and hope they helped him. Meaning to call Mumbo, he accidentally calls Grian instead.

“Hey, uh, Grian?” Scar pipes up, breaking the silence that had fallen over them as they walked. “I kinda… No, wait, I mean, really need to pee.”
Grian snorts at that. He twists his neck to give Scar an exasperated stare, quirking an eyebrow. “Seriously? Now? Can’t you hold it till we get there?”
There was a long pause, and for a second, Grian sees an expression on Scar’s face that he can’t say he’s ever really seen before. It was almost helpless. But it was gone just as quick as it came, melting into a goofy, lopsided grin.
“…Right. Y-yeah, of course I can. I’m a grown man, after all.”

Grian… supposes that makes sense, considering how little he knows about vex magic. He just doesn't understand why anyone in their right mind would want to be cold all the time. He also realizes the flaw in considering ‘Scar’ and ‘in his right mind’ would ever belong in the same sentence.
Or,
Scar is Grian's living heater and they try (and fail) to cuddle like normal people.

Summary
Scar had offered to preen Grian’s wings as the sun set over the desert. He had been shaking, ever so slightly, flecks of blood from a sheep he had slaughtered earlier still caught under his nails, but still he offered. He hadn’t preened Grian’s wings since before he turned Red, and he knew Grian couldn’t fully reach his wings on his own. He knew Grian wouldn’t ask for help on his own, and he wanted to save him the trouble.
And, selfishly, even with blood pounding in his ears, Scar wanted to do it for himself. To show his shaking, twitching hands that he could have Grian with his back exposed and not give in to the creeping violence in his soul. He wanted to hold that vulnerability in his hands and prove that he could still be trusted.

The desert, while being a perfect opportunity for dominion over the sand's profits and overall control, was a difficult place to live in. It meant melting sweat, freezing nights and countless grains of sand that Scar would be finding in every nook and cranny for months. But with his trusted and loyal business partner by his side, he'd never thought he'd find trouble.
Until he got heatstroke.
Suddenly the world was light, and his slow, dazed mind could only think to focus on his partner, half naked in the sun and sweat-glistened skin burning into his eyes. Sure, he could've blamed the heat's effects for his wandering mind, but doing that would've been a disservice to the man with muscled thighs, strong arms and a cracking set of tits.
Or: Scar gets heatstroke and finally discovers the marvels of his business partner's naked body.

Summary
When Grian has trouble with a build, his solution is to just work harder. Unfortunately, this can lead to him neglecting pesky things like basic self care, including the preening of his wings. Enter Scar, who agrees to lend a hand with the terraforming on Grian's base - if he agrees to clean his wings first. And to stop him from sneaking off and working instead, Scar insists on watching him the whole time.

"Dude, quit squirming!" Scar's laugh starts as a deep, bright rumble in the pit of his stomach, soaring from his throat to punch the air in short, ribboned strokes, each a brilliant star between them. The air here is warm, dazed, an illuminated snow globe— except the globe is his tree, and the snow drifts in downy feathers outside it, forming an intricate latticework of frostbitten fingers that crawl up the sides of his windows.
They’d retreated here an hour ago— once their impromptu snowball fight with Doc had transcended from three hermits to thirteen— all shivers and chattering teeth, drenched to the bone. Now, with the fire stoked, sweaters both discarded and exchanged, neither one of them can ignore how the bedraggled wreck of Grian’s feathers are in desperate need of preening.
"You're doing this on purpose!" Grian's retort is tart, but it lacks true bite, curling high as a silver wisp of smoke. "Sto— stop it, Scar, stop trying to tickle me—!"
