“They want us to take in a hybrid?”
Scar doesn’t even try to hide the surprise and confusion in his words. Staring at Cub with both eyebrows raised to his hairline.
“I thought hybrid zoos were deemed too dangerous for the public.” Scar waves a hand over in the vague direction of the zoo exhibits they do have. “Not to mention we were never intended to be that kind of zoo, why us?”
Scar was just a humble zookeeper, he wasn't prepared to deal with this pesky bird that seems much more intelligent than everyone says he should be, but he isn't one to turn down an animal in need. Grian is just happy to be somewhere where he can lay on something soft, even if the humans are weird at this facility. Especially that scarred one.

Summary
The desert, while being a perfect opportunity for dominion over the sand's profits and overall control, was a difficult place to live in. It meant melting sweat, freezing nights and countless grains of sand that Scar would be finding in every nook and cranny for months. But with his trusted and loyal business partner by his side, he'd never thought he'd find trouble.
Until he got heatstroke.
Suddenly the world was light, and his slow, dazed mind could only think to focus on his partner, half naked in the sun and sweat-glistened skin burning into his eyes. Sure, he could've blamed the heat's effects for his wandering mind, but doing that would've been a disservice to the man with muscled thighs, strong arms and a cracking set of tits.
Or: Scar gets heatstroke and finally discovers the marvels of his business partner's naked body.

"How bad?" Grian croaked, licking his dry lips, trying to act as though the Captain's words hadn't sent a cold shiver running down his spine. His own voice was hoarse, and had the same scared intensity the others held. The flight attendant noticed he was clutching Scar's hand for support, though he had no recollection of doing so, nor any desire to let go.
Scott cleared his throat, and said, "Well, we don't know what it is, so we can't know for sure what exactly will happen, but... the turbulence is getting worse. A lot worse. It started out slowly, but the strength and frequency is picking up. And it's not normal turbulence either, it's actually affecting the plane, causing damage. If it continues to grow at the same rate, with some rough mental calculations..."
The entire cockpit seemed to hold its breath while Scott finally looked away from the window, cold gaze meeting Grian's as he said, "...Everyone on this plane is in danger."~~~
Grian is a flight attendant who is absolutely NOT hopelessly in love with his best friend and coworker (lie). But he has to put his unresolved feelings aside when everyone is in danger due to mysterious forces, and they need to try land safely before it's too late.

“Oh gosh, sorry G. Are you alright?”
Grian nearly jumps out of his skin when Scar suddenly whispers softly into his ear. Trying desperately to pretend his following shiver is from adrenaline and nothing else, suddenly hyper aware of Scar’s breath on his neck as the vex hovers centimeters above him. The blond thoroughly caged in by the larger male’s limbs. Grian had to swallow multiple times with how dry his mouth had gotten before he could respond.
“I-I’m fine, now shh.” Hopefully the hunt wouldn’t last too long or Grian might just actually die. Trying desperately not to think about how close and warm Scar’s body is.
Grian ends up in a very particular situation with Scar during a ghost hunt, now if only Scar would stop talking so he doesn't draw the ghost to them then Grian could deal with his feelings in peace.
