Summary
From the moment they met, Grian and Scar were arranged to wed when they were of age. Every summer the two met, their dislike for one another slowly lessens and the two eventually fall for one another. However, after Scar says something without thinking, Grian reluctantly decides to call the wedding off. While on the way back home, Grian is kidnapped, and Scar is determined to find his love.

Delicate purple and white drapes hung from the figure's body. His presence was almost ethereal as huge purple-dipped wings fell behind him. Soft, dirty blond hair was pinned and styled to show off the slight waves that perfectly framed his face.

Pearl let out a few disbelieving gasps as she sat on his bed, she looked like a statue. Grian tried to keep his breaths steady but he failed with each attempt. He couldn’t fathom what he was told as they ate.
He was to be wedded soon. He was to be wedded off to Scar of all people.
“This is nothing less than cruel to you.” Pearl’s eyes were full of unshed tears, he reckons that it’s from both sadness and anger.
“We both know that nothing can come from this marriage, they're just sending you off to go deal with that monster for them.” He knew what she was talking about. Grian was just as confused as his sister when it came to him being chosen. There was one major flaw in this marriage that just couldn’t be overlooked.
(Basically I made a desert duo arranged marriage AU, updates every week on sundays! or at least that's the goal)

Scar cradles Grian’s head, silent tears flowing down his cheeks. Grian lies there breathing heavily and gazing wearily up at the other. Softly, he rests his taloned hand on Scar’s cheek. He smiles weakly up at the other, pain seeping through his tired looking eyes. “You came back” Grian whispers hoarsely. Scar sobs and leans into his touch, “Of course I came back. I'll never leave you again” Grian laughs weakly, “I'm afraid it's my turn to leave” Scar shakes his head, tears flowing freely, “We're together now. It's going to be fine. You'll see!” Grian smiles and brushes a tear from under Scar’s eye, “At least I got to see you one last time.” He whispers before his eyes slip closed and his hand falls limply from Scar’s face.

Grian was brought to the Night Kingdom to try and date the kingdoms King. A Vampire well known for his inventions and dedication to improving the lives of his subjects, even though he tends to be sort of a recluse. But none of their descriptions spoke about just how captivating the Vampire King is in person. -
