After a string of turbulent relationships, you took up urban exploration as a means of distraction and escape, only to end up in a colorful circus-themed purgatory. You become intrigued by the ringmaster, Caine, with a hope of gently encourage him to make the circus more to your liking (and potentially find a way out). But you find yourself in a whirlwind as the relationship patterns you’ve experienced may have followed you in this universe too.
(The reader is a femme fatale cartoon lady [think Holli Would, Jessica Rabbit, Betty Boop] named Dollie. I imagine her as a blonde with Bettie bangs wearing pink, but I make descriptions vague so you can insert your own traits.)
(Title is inspired by Put It Straight (Nightmare Ver.) by I-dle because it reminds me of Caine)

When Vincent Whittman, your college sweetheart turned egomaniac TV personality, killed you both in a mass electrocution, you decided that you would leave that life behind, leave him behind. That was not your Husband anymore, that was Vox, a reminder of the shell of the man you once knew, once loved, and the evil you just stood by and let him commit.
You don't even know if he was looking for you, if he even cared or if he left you behind with his old self, but when you foolishly get caught by his "marketing tactics", aka hypnosis, and he catches wind that his angel was down here with him, lost (and definitely not hiding), that old life, and the many many feelings that are attached, come quickly catching up to you.

“It means lots of us are going to fucking die!” the blonde on the news says, her neck craning at an unnatural angle as she punches her co-host off screen.Angels swarmed the city, killing any unfortunate enough to be out in the open. Some demons saw this as an opportunity for new territory, others as a time to get revenge by throwing one another out into the fray. It was a bloody one sided battle for the most part, demons had no hope of fighting back, no chance of surviving if they were caught in an angels gaze. With about 10 minutes left on the clock until the end of extermination, a blood red tear rips into the sky and demons observe what seems to be a blazing gold comet falling out if the sky with a smaller white comet circling around it. The blazing duo streak across the sky, running straight through any angel that was in its path, the white one looking like it was almost seeking them out as if was in a pinball machine.
“GUYYYYYS!!!!!” Charlie bursts into the room.

You couldn’t get any peace from him. Your attempt to make him back off seemed to make him completely glued to you.

It made you yearn for a simpler life, a life with no responsibilities, one where your presence alone is enough.
Average Tenna x Lightner reader fic. You get him from the Dreemurrs, you bond with him thinking he’s a normal TV, you find your way into the dark world, etc etc. It just has a g/t twist.
