Felix didn't have feelings for Hyunjin. He enjoyed being around him, that's all. Around his funny, warm, comfortable presence. Totally platonic. “Hyunjin, what are you doing?” Felix's voice was nothing but a murmur.
“I was thoroughly counting your six packs. I think you have more than six, actually.” Hyunjin was joking. Felix didn’t laugh.
“Y-you shouldn’t do that.” He couldn’t control the stutter in his voice or the wriggle of his hips.
“Why? Are you getting worked up or something?” The brush of breath on his ear, accompanied from that husky sexy voice made Felix push away immediately.
“Sorry! I was kidding. I’ll stop. Just stay here.” Hyunjin promised to no avail. He pulled the blond back, resuming his actions immediately.

Although it wasn’t scientifically proven, it occurred frequently enough throughout history and in modern times for people to believe in it.
Hyunjin had wondered then—since his scent was also out of the ordinary—was it possible he was also fated to encounter his perfect match someday? Was that why the records he read mentioned that the scent of each pair always complemented each other—unique alone, but harmonious together?

Every time Felix did something bright and sunshiney to bring joy to the room, Hyunjin would find himself smiling without realizing it. He couldn’t understand the wealth of energy Felix seemed to have to pour out care and kindness to those around him. They were all polite and Chan-hyung led them by example with his feet on the ground, but Felix looked happy doing it. Oftentimes at the end of a long day, Hyunjin would want to just be alone and listen to music and Felix would still be there, shaking hands and bowing and smiling to every last member of staff. And then Felix would find him, pour out all his love and affection on him, would snuggle up next to him. During those times, Hyunjin would feel a lump in his throat as he remembered, all over again, how fucked he would be if he never had met Felix Lee.
And he would know. Hyunjin could take any hypothetical situation and make it feel real.
