Summary
Hitoshi should have stayed on campus.
No, he really, really should have stayed on campus. None of this bullshit would have happened if he'd stayed in his room all day, or, hell, if he'd just biked through the woods around the school rather than deciding he just had to go out into the city for a few hours.
Whatever entity dealt out bad days had it out for him, of that Hitoshi was certain.
The situation he was in -- three older, bigger boys standing between him and any escape, cornered behind the convenience store he'd stopped at for a snack -- was proof enough of that.
Hitoshi went out for a bike ride on a hot summer day and ends up encountering three guys who saw him in the Sports Festival. When he refuses to help them rob a store, they end up using his Capture Scarf against him.

He’s standing on the corner maybe two blocks away from the foster home. The corner right where the subway trains empty out. He has a duffle bag full of his stuff hanging at his side.
He texted Bakugou.
Why the fuck did he text Bakugou?
His first instinct was Kaminari. But he didn’t want to scare him off with all this bullshit. Second was Jirou, but she would just want to kick his foster parent’s asses which wouldn’t help anybody. And… Shinsou doesn’t really have anybody else. He’s not close with anybody else in his class and he’s okay with that. He likes it like that. But at moments like this it’s… unhelpful to say the least.
But he still remembers when Bakugou got muzzled at the first sports festival.
...
Or: Shinsou has to run away from a foster home and Bakugou helps.

Shinso promises to see Recovery Girl if things get worse, but Shota knows him well enough to know that won’t be happening at all, not without some coercing. The kid will grin and bare it the whole day, no matter how bad it gets.
Shota would know, because he would do the exact same in his situation. But he is an adult, and Shinso is a child. A child who he is co-responsible for.
A child he is letting rock up to school completely, undeniably sick.
Fuck. He's never having children.
Or: Shinso falls ill while under Aizawa and Mic's care.
