Summary
As long as Castiel remains unmated, he cannot get the promotion he has worked so hard for at his family’s business. Castiel tells about his problem to Dean who works at his favorite bar and ends up asking Dean to play his date for a family event. Despite Castiel being attracted to him, Castiel knows his family would hate the independent and outspoken omega and would rather give him the promotion than see him mated with Dean.

Summary

Summary
Dean stands abruptly, and beelines for the door. He doesn’t give a shit if it’s raining or not, he needs out.
He shoulders past Cas but only makes it two steps before a hand grabs his wrist, snatching him back. Cas’ eyes are alight with the blue glow Dean’s only ever seen right before he smites something into the next century.
Dean finally pushed too hard, asked for too much.
He swallows thickly, waiting for the wrath of god to come down on him in this rickety motel room. But there's no bolt of grace, no divine intervention. Instead, Cas stops his heart a different way, crowding into his space and crushing their lips together.

Parenthood is something Dean didn’t grow into, it’s something that grew Dean. Dean grew out of it, grew into himself, thinks he’s more like himself than he’s ever been allowed to be. Ever allowed himself to be.
Castiel is a Mr Rogers-style host of the children's TV show, The Sanctuary. The show is Ben's favourite - and his single father, Dean's, too. Okay, he's a little besotted with the gentle, earnest, cardigained and a little eccentric host. He even has a guest starring fox on the show, every few weeks.
So, when the chance arises for Dean to take his son to see Castiel at a meet-and-greet, he jumps on it. But in line, Dean panics, nearly faints, and is taken to sit in a quiet corner with some water while his son says hi to Castiel. Naturally, Dean's kicking himself for the rest of the day - until Castiel, watching Dean as he carries Ben on his shoulders, decides to approach and ask if he's recovered. And if, maybe, he'd like to grab a coffee.
