Wemmbu wasn’t sure he knew these people surrounding him.
Wemmbu recognized them but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it and that’s what annoyed him.
He looked up from his laying ignoring the two figures, the blue fabric rubbing against his neck as he scanned the room
The room wasn’t that big the bed he was laying on was in the centre of the room two chairs resting in each corner, next to him vitals were blinking at his heartbeat. A mirror tucked just off to the side, but he couldn’t see his reflection.
“Wemmbu”
He shifted his gaze at the colourful bird was he talking Wemmbu wasn’t really paying attention his mind was all foggy since he woke up.
“Wemmbu?” the tone was now questioning.
He lifted his head eyes caught to his hands one caught in a sling and the other bandaged, but from what he could tell he could tell it was pretty banged up.
But what confused him was the arm bandaged was caught in a handcuff securing him to the bed

3. Stay out of superhero nonsense.Unfortunately, the city has decided that rule three is optional.
Between heroes showing up at his workshop, villains taking an interest in his work, vigilantes appearing where they shouldn't, and people discovering that the weird mechanic down the street has a power of his own, Wemmbu's peaceful life is beginning to fall apart.
He doesn't want to be a hero.
He doesn't want to be a villain.
He doesn't even want to be a vigilante.
He just wants to go home, eat something, and complain about his customers.
Then someone decides it would be easier to take him by force.
This fic was originally a request from a reader! I loved the idea way too much, so here we are.

Wemmbu had been trying to ignore it for a while now. Since Mane left, maybe even before that. He knew something was wrong, but it wasn’t anything serious. Headaches, spots in his vision, occasional waves of dizziness. It might have started all the way back in Zam’s Empire.
He feels better when others are around. With Egg finally out of the End and the two of them practically glued at the hip as they try to stay under the radar of the Law, Wemmbu is relieved to find that his symptoms calm down slightly. Not enough, but he no longer worries that he might pass out in the middle of a fight anymore.
tldr: wemmbu gets sick when he isolates from people he cares about. now with the war against the law reaching a boiling point, wemmbu is being surrounded by people he cant help but to care about. with the battle against law only weeks away and wemmbu getting sicker each passing day, he doesnt know how much longer he can hide his greatest secret. and everyone is getting concerned asf while he convinces himself they all hate him.

Wemmbu has never thought of romance as more of a childish selfish fantasy, especially in a place like this, where chaos and bloodshed ruled with an iron fist.
Now as he sits right next to Flamefrags, his long-time enemy/rival, planning a marriage he wants no part in. His marriage - a small part of Wemmbu's mind reminds him. Isn't that a strange thought? Wemmbu, the terrorist, is getting married.
The universe has some sick sense of humor.
His eyes flicker lazily around the room, in his hands, the details of their marriage contract. Lettuce is standing in the other side of the desk, looking incredibly smug. Wemmbu feels his blood boiling, wishing for a second that he was powerful enough to wipe that grin off the other man's face. Instead, Wemmbu's eyes flicker to their rival, at least, Flame looks as uncomfortable as Wemmbu. It's a poor consolation prize but is better than nothing.
Or, an AU where instead of execution, Lettuce uses an unconventional method to have the two strongest player under his control.
(Lost cause duo or Imperial fire duo is not romantic here, I swear)
